Finally, the computer has been restored to health and my blogging may resume! I missed writing, I find it relaxing and it feels kind of lonely to knit all by myself and not get to share with others. We have another computer downstairs, but it's a bit of a dinosaur, so although I can use it, I don't prefer it.
The smallest size from Baby Knits For Beginners in Debbie Bliss baby cashmerino. This yarn is so soft, I find it a treat to knit. And the socks are addictive, they knit up so fast, I think I have enough yarn left to do another pair. They do have a seam, but the recipient isn't walking yet, plus she refuses to leave them on, so it doesn't matter too much. The following are the little sock clad feet I promised last week.
The socked foot.
The naked foot. (This is the model's preference)
Socked and naked together (A wrestle between the photographer and the model is going on behind the scenes, making it very difficult to get both socks on both feet at the same time.)
Model wearing socks. (It looks as though the photographer is victorious, but really an assistant is distracting model behind photographer's back. You can see the small hand inching forward ready to rip off one of the socks.) I am not really sure why I keep making this child handknit treasures since she prefers life in the nude, I guess cause she's the smallest in the family and I get some instant gratification.
