A Little Daydreaming

P1010843

I have been putting away Moosebaby's too small clothes. He's wearing size 6 months. He's 9 weeks old! Anyways, I thought I would take a few pictures of him in his Daydream before I put it away. Modelled knits are so much more appealing than unoccupied ones.

This is the Daydream from Rowan Babies knit up in Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino. The yarn has held up really well, there is a small bit of pilling, but it had to be washed everytime Simon wore it. He can't keep his cookies down and spit up on it each and every time. I can't believe I spent 4 months knitting this boy little baby knits and he has taken 2 months to grow out of them all. Sheesh!

PS. It's my birthday, and I have been royally spoiled! I have a wonderful family and they make me feel like a million bucks! Thanks Knittypants family!!

Happy Birthday! I'm glad you were spoiled, you deserve it!

Isn't it amazing how quickly they go through the sizes in the first year? I feel like I'm constantly sorting through clothes, putting some away and pulling new ones out. Simon is adorable in his Daydream sweater. I love the three little buttons!

Happy birthday!!! Your little one looks so angelic in his gorgeous sweater, you'd never guess he was a spit-up machine.

Happy birthday - glad to hear you have been spoiled - enjoy your day.

What a little love chump that Simon is! And Happy Birthday!

happy birthday! yes, they outgrow it all so fast which is why I can still wear some things my grandma had knit for me when I was 12... she always knit "with room to grow"
:-)

Haooy Birthday! Simon is growing really well :)

Happy Belated Birthday!!! So glad you had a wonderful day! The Daydreamer sweater is adorable!

Happy, happy birthday, Areli! I'm glad to hear your family was so good to you. :0)

Moosebaby is as darling as ever.

Happy Birthday Areli!

Happy Birthday! (and what a cutie Moosebaby is!)

Love the growing baby pics!
Hope your birthday is/was wonderful!
Happy knitting,
ali

Awww what a cutie! Sigh..bummer that he's so big for his handknits though!

Happy birthday!!!!!! I feel both happy and sad when I put away too-small baby clothes! Now you need to knit for NEXT winter!

HaPpY BiRtHdAy!!! Wishing you a great day and a FANTASTIC year.

I too am the mama of a moose-boy and can appreciate how quickly Simon is outgrowing your hand-knits----and everything else.

happy birthday! i think being spoilt on your birthday is absolutely mandatory.

Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday!!! I think all babies grow that quickly out of their clothes:) Beautiful Daydream sweater!

Happy birthday! He looks so cute in his little handknits! (even though he couldn't wear them for long....)

What an adorable sweater! (and an adorable baby, too)

Wow, he's getting big fast! At least you have photos of him wearing his great knits.

I like how you snuck that in at the end, Happy Birthday!!

Happy Birthday!!!

And that baby is so cute in his little sweater. So very cute.

Happy Birthday!!
Simon's growing so big! What kind of super-milk are you making over there!?! I love that sweater- what a beautiful thing to pull out again someday.

A belated Happy Birthday to you too! I hope you had a wonderful day.

It's such a shame they grow so fast at that age. He's such a sweetie in his knits.

Oops, if I'd been much later I would have been better off wishing you a happy early birthday for next year. I'll go ahead with the belated birthday wishes anyway. Sounds like it was a great one!

The lesson I will learn from your post is that if I ever have a kid, I will not knit anything smaller than a 6-month size. Looks like you've got a bruiser on your hands! A cute bruiser. :)

you take the most wonderful pictures, and what fabulous hand me downs for the next baby ;-)

Happy Birthday!

And thanks so much for setting off my biological clock with those incredibly adorable pictures!
You're also validating my 'never knit anything smaller than 6 months or 1 year' -- I go by the size of the parents, and if both are tall or sturdy or both, I go with 1 year. Inevitably, the baby ends up wearing it well before then.

Happy Belated Birthday! I'm finally getting a chance to comment now that I'm back from vacation. Love the Rowan baby sweater - I knit that one last summer, too, it's adorable!

of course the baby and his sweater are adorable, but i really like that knee high! the mixed berry is fabulous. do you have a fave sock yarn that you use? i'm checking around for some pointers for the socks i want to try. i suppose i should find a pattern too huh? i just know i want to do a pair of socks now!
:)

Both the sweater and the baby are adorable :) We have a big baby, too. Not even five months and poised to need 12 month jammies. Yeesh. Maybe they'll play on the same football team or something!
