Flower Basket Shawl

Flower Basket Shawl by Evelyn A. Clark.  2.5 skeins of Blue Sky Alpaca Silk, color 127 blue.

What a rewarding first shawl, very pretty, very simple. I knit it in about a week, so someone without 4 kids could make in about 2 hours :-)

Before I even started Erin told me about Get it Knitted's Flower Basket Shawl Cast On Tutorial, so it was smooth sailing from the very beginning.

I have it draped over my bedroom mirror right now, so I see it every time I walk in the room. It's nice to think I made that. Must knit more lace.

Oh, no, now you've caught the lace bug too! ;o) It's a bedautiful little shawl isn't it! I love the color!

Very pretty! Nice to know there is a tutorial, very cool. I want to knit lace before the end of the year. I will get to it....I will get to it...

wow. that is beautiful!!!!

*dreamysigh*

You knit the most gorgeous stuff...

Beautiful! I've had that pattern on my to knit list for so long. I love every version I've seen.

Wow! It is very beautiful. Love the color.

Wow - it's beautiful. I do the same with my finished lace projects... drape them around where I can see them. I'm always a little too impressed with myself when I finish a lace project ;o)

It's beautiful! The colour is gorgeous. This pattern's got to be my all-time fave for triangle shawls. I lost mine when we went to Beijing last year so I'm on the lookout for yarn to re-knit this and isn't it amazing how little yarn it requires?

That is stunning! The color looks great on you, too.

Flower Basket is such a satisfying little knit, isn't it? Yours is very pretty...and in alpaca silk...mmmm.

Lace is fun!

What a beautiful shawl, and it looks lovely in the blue color. Thanks for the tip about the tutorial too.

That is such a lovely, neutral/versatile shade of blue! I like the size of this shawl, too; it's much more wearable than something larger. Beautiful!

So pretty! And it looks lovely on you. :)

Beautiful!!!! I like that you have it draped over your bedroom mirror so that you can enjoy it when you walk in the room. That's a great idea!

I love it!!! You must send me the recipe!!! Arlis

It's lovely! That color is perfect
