Fondle My Hearts
Ok, I realize that might not be entirely appropriate, but the hearts just beg for a patting. Kid Silk Haze, it draws one, like a flame draws a moth. You just have to see if it's as soft as it looks.
So Cheesylove is finally getting her 5 seconds of fame, took me long enough. I really like this sweater, although since I did most of the knitting and finishing over a year ago before getting pregnant, I can see how my knitting has improved in my current projects. I really worked hard to make the side shaping and ribbing work together, I remember getting out my notebook and planning where to work each purl and knit stitch so that the shaping didn't end up sloppy. But, it's very hard to get a decent picture with the black yarn. The sleeves ended up too long and I have to roll them up. The neckline feels a little thick, but for the most part I'm happy. The sweater is wearable and has taught me a lot about knitting sweaters. Plus, the hearts are a lot of fun, both the knitting of and the wearing.
Cheesylove from Knitty. The body of the sweater is knit in Jo Sharp Classic DK Wool while the hearts are knit in Kid Silk Haze. Both yarns are wonderful too knit with and I will use both again. The Jo Sharp is a bit sturdy knitting up, but it softens nicely once blocked, and although I don't like it directly on my skin, just a light tee is needed, doesn't bother my arms at all. Oh, and I left the ruffles off. The sweater's cute enough without adding ruffles and I really don't need eyes drawn to my hips.

very cute - love the pink, fuzzy hearts!!!!!

The sweater turned out great. I love the pink fluffy hearts and you did so well for remembering where you were up to after leaving it for so long.

I've always loved that sweater but wondered how it would look on me... it's so cute on you! What a good fit for you. The cheesy hearts are actually a great detail. Are you always touching those hearts? So. soft. :)

Wow, I love the way the sweather emphasises the curvy figure (and the hearts draw the eyes to your assets). It's very flattering and you're losing the maternal look and regressing to the hot, hot, hot look.
