Well, this little guy is done. Cute, huh? I mentioned before that I thought he was a bit fiddly to knit, but I think he's worth it.
This is the Lovable Toys Rabbit from Last Minute Knitted Gifts. Knit with 2 skeins of Blue Sky Alpaca Melange in Cornflower. The inside of the ears were knit with a bit of leftover Kid Silk Haze in Grace. Luxurious little guy, isn't he.
I changed the pattern a bit, as written I was to knit the arms and legs flat and then seam them up and attach to the body. I chose to knit the legs in the round and then join to the body then I knit the body in the round until where I wanted the arms to go, then knit flat for a little kind of like for adding little sleeves. I picked up stitches from the body for the arms and knit down and in the round for those. Then I stuffed the body and knit on the head and then stuffed the head. Following the pattern I would have stuffed the body at the end through the arm holes, but I lost that option knitting him up the way I did. Turned out well, but I am surprised how heavy he is, I am assuming it's the alpaca that gives him weight, because his insides are pretty light fluff.
